OUR BELIEFS
It is our beliefs that form the foundation of who we are.
SCRIPTURE
The Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author and salvation for its end. It is totally true and trustworthy. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
GOD
There is one, and only one, living and true God. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
GOD THE FATHER
The Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He's all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. He is fatherly in attitude toward all men.
GOD THE SON
Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, being fully God and fully man. He perfectly obeyed the will of God and is without sin. He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
GOD THE SPIRIT
The Spirit of God is fully divine. He inspired the writing of Scripture, and enables men to understand the truth. He calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church.
MAN
Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. He created them male and female. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship. Every person and race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and love.
SALVATION
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.
GRACE
It is the glorious display of God's sovereign goodness, and is infinitely wise, holy, and unchangeable. It excludes boasting and promotes humility. Those accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end.
THE CHURCH
The Body of Christ includes all of the redeemed believers from every age, tribe, tongue, people, and nation. A New Testament church of Jesus is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel.
